Photography is a way for me to chronicle my voyage of personal discovery. I follow my pursuits wherever they lead me. Currently I am interested in landscape photography hoping to capture light as it varies with the weather, time of day, and change of seasons. I have especially enjoyed shooting in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The photograph to the right is a self-portrait taken during one of many hikes at Fort Mountain State Park in Chatsworth, Ga.
I am a native of Atlanta, and I have lived in Dalton, Ga. for over twenty-five years. My wife, Sandra, has supported me tirelessly in my endeavors. At times she has carried my equipment. She has stood by patiently while I have tried to find the perfect shot. And despite the fact that she doesn't enjoy being photographed, she has willingly served as my model whenever asked. My daughter, Laura, has also encouraged and inspired me. She has never refused my request to pose for a photograph, and she has lovingly endured my experiments with lighting and composition.
All of my photos are shot with Canon digital cameras, and they are processed in Adobe Photoshop. All photos are printed on an Epson 2200 printer using Ultrachome pigment inks.
